Gibbon Packing, LLC an American Foods Group Company in Nebraska seeks a QA Sorter Lead to oversee sorting of carcasses and parts, identify defects, and coordinate QA sorters’ training and qualifications. This role ensures accurate inspections before items reach online inspectors and focuses on safety and departmental leadership.

The position emphasizes leadership, training, and maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced meat processing environment in Gibbon, NE.

Formación

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Knowledge of beef anatomy to recognize common parts of the beef carcass, skeleton, and digestive tract.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality.

Responsabilidades

• Be able to perform the QA sorter job.
• Oversee and assist the QA Sorter department.
• Responsible for the day-to-day control of QA Sorter department activities according to prescribed schedules, priorities, operation sequence, and processing specifications.
• Cover QA Sorter duties when someone is absent.
• Train employees in QA sorter areas.
• Responsible for the safety and productivity of production employees in designated area(s).
• Responsible for being a leadership resource to employees, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice.
• Responsible for safety and housekeeping and for proper operation of equipment.
• Evaluate department work performance; take corrective action in accordance with company standard practices and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Assist meetings.
