Job summary

Gibbon Packing, LLC is seeking a QA Tech - Harvest at our Gibbon, NE plant to perform audits, monitor harvest operations, and ensure strict adherence to food safety standards.

You will inspect sanitation, PPE usage, and HACCP compliance, plus communicate issues to supervision and maintenance. Training in SQF, GMPs, and SOPs is required, with opportunities for growth within American Foods Group.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English (written and spoken).
• Must be able to work in varied temperatures and around equipment with PPE.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and HACCP.
• Able to complete required trainings (Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs).
• Able to read and write clearly and report issues to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process audits and additional audits as needed.
• Monitor harvest processes and sanitation compliance.
• Inspect hand and knife chlorine spray systems for sanitation.
• Observe start-of-shift hygiene and PPE usage.
• Communicate mechanical or safety issues to maintenance or supervision.
• Generate work orders when required and track resolutions.
• Maintain production area cleanliness and adherence to food safety policies.
• Support proactive food defense and SQF procedures.
