Job summary

Melaleuca in Idaho Falls seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead QA operations for food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, and OTC production, ensuring FDA compliance and internal quality standards. You will oversee batch record reviews, CAPA investigations, deviation management, document control, allergen and hygiene programs, and validation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, biology or related field with 3+ years QA experience in food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or OTC manufacturing; or 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, preventive controls, and quality systems.
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing or laboratory environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent management/supervisory skills.
• Strong math and data analysis abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Color vision and ability to read labels; physical ability to stand and move.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA systems, documentation, audits and compliance at the plant.
• Lead batch record review, CAPA investigations and effectiveness checks.
• Manage nonconformance/deviation, change control, and record retention.
• Maintain allergen management, hygiene programs and GMP compliance.
• Coach QA Technicians and Inspectors; supervise staff performance.
• Analyze QA data, generate dashboards and KPIs; drive corrective actions.
• Support internal audits and external inspections as SME for QA systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement across QA processes.
