Job summary

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company in Idaho Falls seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead QA operations, ensuring FDA compliance and robust quality systems for food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, and OTC products.

You will oversee batch review, CAPA, documentation, change control, allergen programs and GMP adherence while partnering with operations to drive continuous improvement and product safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, biology or other scientific field with 3+ years QA experience in food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or OTC manufacturing; or 6+ years in manufacturing of consumer goods.
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, preventive controls, and quality systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams in manufacturing or laboratory environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent management/supervisory skills.
• Excellent math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Statistical and data analysis skills.
• Ability to organize and coordinate projects.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting with efficiency and accuracy.
• Visually distinguish colors and read labels, batch numbers, etc.
• Ability to be on their feet for shift duration and to climb stairs.
• Ability to move up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA Systems oversight aligned with FDA, FSMA, SQF and internal standards.
• Oversee QA programs: nonconformance, CAPA, document control, change control, allergen/hygiene, GMP compliance.
• Provide on-floor QA oversight to verify GMP adherence and process controls; partner with operations.
• Lead QA tier 2 and participate in Tier 1/2 communications; ensure effective reporting.
• Analyze QA data, develop dashboards, KPIs, and monthly quality reporting.
• Drive root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions; support audits and inspections.
• Mentor QA Technicians and Inspectors; ensure competency and training.
