Job summary

Reser's Fine Foods, Inc. is seeking a QA Supervisor at the Crossroads Salad Plant in Topeka, KS. This full-time, on-site role trains QA Technicians and ensures food safety and quality programs are followed and corrective actions are justified and effective.

Required: B.S. or A.A. in Food Science/Technology or Microbiology (or 3+ years QA), supervisory experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel and Word. HACCP, SQF PCQI certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. or A.A. in Food Science/Technology, Microbiology or related field, or 3+ years QA experience.
• Supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of co-workers and management.
• Proficient computer skills; e-mail, Word, Excel; LX and PKMS helpful.
• HACCP, SQF PCQI and Internal Auditor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in hiring and training of QA Technicians; schedules overtime and coverage.
• Manages CCP monitoring records and pre-shipment reviews; verifies corrective actions.
• Coordinates corrective and preventive actions for CCP deviations.
• Manages department programs for adherence to requirements.
• Participates in new product launches and tests; tracks analytical data.
• Investigates issues using quality tools and root cause analysis; implements actions.
• Attends monthly safety and food safety trainings.
