Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in the Silver Spring area is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for 1st shift at a confidential beverage manufacturer. You will lead QA personnel on the lab and production floor to ensure products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include coaching, reviewing laboratory results, supporting audits, and partnering with plant departments to improve processes and maintain consistent product quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant technical education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of QA/manufacturing experience in food/beverage.
• Experience with lab testing and manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological/aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Ability to stand, walk production floor, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
• Develop team members through coaching and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support food safety practices.
• Oversee QA programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Maintain compliance with product specs, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and certification standards.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify trends needing corrective action.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing results and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with regulatory, certification, customer, and internal audits.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.
