Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. in the Silver Spring area is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for first shift at a confidential beverage manufacturer. The role leads QA personnel, reviews lab results, and partners with production to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

You'll coach the team, drive continuous improvement, and prepare for audits while maintaining product safety and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with science focus.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing and food industry knowledge.
• Familiarity with lab equipment/testing in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of sanitation and beverage processes.
• Familiarity with HPLC and GC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
• Develop team members through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support food safety practices.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Maintain compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and certification standards.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify trends requiring corrective action.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing results and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with regulatory, certification, customer, and internal audits.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.
