Job summary

Sora Resource Group leads a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for 1st shift. The role supervises QA lab and production-floor teams to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include staff coaching, reviewing lab results, supporting audits, and partnering with plant departments to drive process improvements and maintain consistent product quality, with some overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical education in a related field is required.
• The role requires a background in biology, chemistry, or food science.
• Relevant manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
• Develop team members through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support food safety practices.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Maintain compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and certification standards.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify trends requiring corrective action.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing results and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with regulatory, certification, customer, and internal audits.
