Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 1st shift in the Silver Spring area. The role leads QA personnel in the lab and production floor, ensuring products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.

You will coach the team, review lab results, support audits, and partner with plant departments to improve processes and maintain consistent product quality. Requires 1–3 years in manufacturing QA with beverage industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of QA/manufacturing experience in beverage or food industry.
• Experience with laboratory testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological or aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and set expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
• Develop team members through training, coaching, and feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support food safety practices.
• Oversee QA programs, documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Ensure compliance with product specs, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
• Review lab data, investigate exceptions, and identify trends needing corrective action.
• Recommend process improvements based on quality data.
• Prepare for and assist with audits (regulatory, certification, customer).
• Lead continuous improvement to strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.
