Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a QA Release Engineer II to own quality across the release lifecycle, from regression testing and test planning to release validation and deployment support.

You will define, execute, and improve test strategies for Spotnana services, focusing on both BE and UI automation while collaborating with Development and Product teams to ensure timely, high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software development life cycle and test life cycle; familiar with Scrum.
• Expertise validating Web-Applications and Web-Services; REST API testing with Postman.
• Strong experience with test management tools (TestRail) and JIRA.
• BE/UI automation understanding and overall QA process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform Regression and support release and deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues with Dev and Ops teams.
• Develop and maintain documentation for the release process.
• Design, develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and plans for services.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design tests.
• Execute and analyze test results; report defects and discrepancies.
• Define and monitor QA metrics for continuous quality improvements.
• Estimate efforts, identify risks, and meet release schedules.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and timelines to stakeholders.
• Recommend enhancements to test suites and test cases for regression.
• Analyze manual tests and specs to evaluate automation potential.
