Job summary

Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test for a critical, restricted-environment role focused on validation and certification of platform releases. You will be the sole QA resource in this environment, wearing multiple hats across the software lifecycle to ensure uptime and reliability of mission-critical software.

You will analyze requirements with development and engineering leads, participate in scrum, and build scalable test plans, harnesses, and configurations for weekly releases,

Qualifications

• Active security clearance required or ability to obtain one.
• 4+ years in software QA with release-based testing.
• 4+ years in SaaS environments.
• Experience with server and client-side tech.
• Ability to understand and maintain automation code.
• Experience with end-to-end or system test plans.
• Set up and maintain test configurations and lab environments.
• Willingness to work in a restricted environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements with Development and Engineering Leads to certify releases.
• Participate in a scrum team environment.
• Manage deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Partner with Development and Release Teams to build and maintain product infrastructure growth and high availability.
• Define test coverage based on customer usage patterns.
• Review changes going into test and staging environments.
• Ensure changes are compatible with existing deployments.
• Develop, maintain, and debug end-to-end/test plans and automation.
• Set up and maintain all test configurations and lab environments.
• Prioritize critical customer usage patterns for weekly releases.
• Support overall QA efforts across deployment and release teams as technical authority.
