Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a QA & QC Technician to ensure QA/QC compliance of raw and processed materials through laboratory testing. The role reports to the worksite, participates in daily safety briefings, and performs tests and clerical tasks related to loads, samples, and documentation.

The position emphasizes load certification, sample collection from processing and staging areas, and meticulous record-keeping with approved spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade.
• Ability to read and interpret DOT/DEP/ASTM standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory testing equipment including muffle furnaces, drying ovens, and weigh scales
• Record, retain, and distribute laboratory results
• Operate an instrument control panel
• Communicate clear instructions via CB radio
• Maintain a professional environment
• Adjust and adapt to increased sampling volume as business needs dictate
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
