Job summary

Prime Data Centers Lockhart, Texas, United States is seeking a QA/QC Program Engineer to own quality across the equipment lifecycle—from factory verification through energization, testing, and turnover to Operations.

The role requires leading factory witness tests, audits, RCA, and ensuring OFCI equipment is tagged and documented with traceability to approved drawings. Domestic travel is expected; a technical engineering degree and 7+ years QA/QC experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
7+ years of QA/QC experience in mission-critical data center or high-reliability environments.
Experience in RFP review, equipment submittals, and inspections.
Familiarity with Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) principles and standards.
Direct experience witnessing factory acceptance testing of electrical and mechanical gear.
Fluency with commissioning Levels 1–5, IST, and pre-energization safety protocols.
Proficiency with CxAlloy or equivalent commissioning management platform; able to learn MCIM/MCAP.

Responsibilities

Manage factory witness tests and FAT/FWT Tracker, including scheduling and assignment.
Audit documentation and enforce corrective actions through Root Cause Analysis.
Document OFCI equipment findings with traceability from factory to field.
Verify asset tag data and alignment with approved drawings/submittals.
Escalate systemic documentation failures with data-driven support.
Coordinate with GC, Procurement, and Engineering to close open issues.
