Job summary

MJC is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the Quality Management System and supervise the QA/QC team in a manufacturing environment. The role requires leading improvement initiatives, audits, and CAPA processes to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory standards.

The candidate should have a B.S. in engineering, 2+ years of management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with PFMEA and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
• Experience in manufacturing, with preference for HVAC manufacturing.
• Fluency in statistics, PFMEA and root cause analysis a must.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ChatGPT is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and statistical programs preferred.
• Spanish speaker a plus (bilingual in English and Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Quality Management System.
• Supervise the creation and implementation of quality assurance goals, objectives and procedures.
• Manage QA staff under Quality Engineering and Quality Control.
• Serve as MJC contact to OEM customers and provide timely information.
• Collect, analyze and summarize QC/QA trends; compile reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify, prioritize, communicate and resolve manufacturing quality issues.
• Perform internal and external supplier audits.
• Conduct periodic management reviews of the QA/QC system and adjust as needed.
• Manage CAPA process and ensure training and calibration programs.
• Lead ISO compliance initiatives and support management team as needed.
