Job summary

Lumicity is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System and drive QA/Quality Engineering across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, on-site role at our New York facility.

You will own the QMS as Management Representative, ensuring AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance, lead audits, manage the QA department, and drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives and CAPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• 8+ years of technical experience including 4-6 years in a management role.
• Hands-on experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Background in aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or engineering preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. M1), Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the QMS as Management Representative, ensuring AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Lead third-party and customer source surveillance audits, plus internal audits and quarterly Management Reviews.
• Manage the QA department — staffing, scheduling, and performance.
• Drive quality engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Lead supplier quality evaluation and management, and serve as the customer's quality point of contact.
• Chair MRB/CAB activities, root-cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Champion Lean initiatives (5S, VSM, Visual Factory) as part of continuous improvement.
