Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial/industrial construction, preferably mechanical
• QA/QC, field leadership, or similar experience
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, shop drawings
• Understanding of quality-control processes, inspections, testing, and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify field issues
• Effective communication with field crews, management, subs, engineers, and customers
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
• Familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, and construction codes
• Experience with construction management software and electronic drawings

Responsibilities

• Lead the project QA/QC program from construction through turnover
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and quality requirements
• Perform regular field inspections of installations and workmanship
• Verify compliance with plans, specs, manufacturer requirements, and codes
• Monitor HVAC, piping, plumbing, and related systems for quality
• Develop and maintain inspection/testing plans and quality reports
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions
• Track punch-list through completion and closeout
• Participate in pre-installation meetings and set quality expectations
• Coordinate inspections, testing, startup, commissioning, and documentation
• Review deliveries for compliance with requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and customers
• Resolve field quality issues while keeping projects moving forward
• Maintain QA/QC records for turnover and closeout
• Promote accountability and continuous improvement
