Job summary

OnQGlobal is seeking a skilled QAQC Subject Matter Expert to oversee mechanical installations on large-scale projects. You will review contracts, lead commissioning planning, and ensure field installations meet drawings, specs, and industry standards.

Expect heavy coordination with GC, subcontractors, and vendors, plus sign-off of Level 2 QAQC activities. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in major construction with a focus on mechanical systems, plus 5+ years leading QC activities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years on large-scale construction projects in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• 5+ years as a QC lead with field installation and inspection.
• Knowledge of quality control processes across drawings, specs, and test scripts.
• Ability to read and interpret critical project documents.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, Owner Project Requirements, and Basis of Design.
• Develop and manage the mechanical commissioning schedule and look ahead.
• Attend start-up, coordination, and preparatory meetings as required.
• Sign-off on Level 2 QAQC activities and track issues in the Cx system.
• Develop pre-functional inspection checklists with vendors for major equipment.
• Provide oversight of contractor QC plans and field observations.
