Job summary

KAR & Larrabee Mechanical Contractors is seeking a QA/QC Manager to own quality assurance and quality control throughout the construction process in the Gainesville, FL area. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, preferably mechanical construction.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

Lead the project QA/QC program from construction through testing, commissioning, and turnover.
Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, and quality requirements.
Perform regular field inspections of mechanical installations and workmanship.
Verify work is being installed in accordance with approved plans, specs, manufacturer requirements, and codes.
Monitor HVAC, piping, plumbing, equipment, and related mechanical installations for quality and compliance.
Develop and maintain inspection and testing plans, checklists, and quality reports.
