Job summary

Balor Games is seeking a QA Portfolio Manager to own QA strategy and execution across our published portfolio. You will be the primary contact for QA coverage on titles developed by multiple external teams and will manage external QA vendors, set testing standards, scope SOWs, and track milestones.

Hands-on testing will occur as needed. You will collaborate with Production, Publishing Services, and developers to ensure titles meet Balor Games’ quality bar and certification requirements before

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA leadership, vendor/partner management, or production within the video game industry.
• Experience managing vendor SOWs and quotes for QA services.
• Strong knowledge of FQA/CQA/LQA testing methodologies and platform certification requirements across major consoles, PC, and mobile.
• Ability to create, review, and refine test plans for multiple game genres.
• Experience coordinating multiple external studios and vendor pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own QA strategy and standards across Balor Games’ published portfolio, adapting scope per title’s needs.
• Oversee external QA vendors (FQA, CQA, LQA, compatibility) and onboarding of new vendors.
• Scope QA requirements against milestones; manage SOWs, quotes, and end dates.
• Manage QA vendor budgets, POs, and invoicing; flag variances.
• Serve as primary QA liaison to external dev teams and align build/patch cadence with testing cycles.
• Perform hands-on QA testing and verify fixes; write actionable bug reports.
• Provide detailed gameplay feedback benchmarked against market titles.
• Review and triage bug reports; drive fixes with dev teams; participate in ship/no-ship decisions.
• Act as data-driven reporting lead on game state, quality risks, and trajectories.
• Track platform certification and compliance requirements and ensure test plans cover them.
