Job summary

O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) Fayette is seeking a Quality Assurance leader to drive the QA department, ensuring products meet quality goals and deadlines. You will develop plans for QA staff, conduct inspections, audits, and metrology, and lead corrective actions with customers and OEM partners.

You will oversee PPAP activities, containment, and continuous improvement using lean and six-sigma methodologies, with emphasis on supplier and internal processes for defect prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO9001 quality management system.
• 3+ years in a supervisory/people management role.
• Experience with automotive core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
• Familiarity with GD&T and dimensional measurement techniques.
• Experience with OEM customers.
• Lean systems and / or 6-Sigma Green/Black Belt or similar problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA department activities to meet customer goals and deadlines.
• Develop and deploy development plans for QA personnel.
• Staff and equip QA for product inspection, metrology, auditing, and process control.
• Investigate root cause and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Lead PPAP activities and coordinate with plant staff for product launches.
• Manage containment and mitigation of quality issues across supply chain.
• Administer Layered Process Audit program to drive quality improvement.
