Job summary

Steel & O’Brien Manufacturing is seeking a hands‑on Quality Assurance Manager to support DCC fabrication and manufacturing operations. You will lead daily quality activities, strengthen our quality systems, and work with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to prevent defects and ensure customer requirements are met.

Reporting to the Director of Quality, you’ll oversee product and process quality, inspections, nonconforming material, and corrective actions, while maintaining ISO 9001 and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing quality assurance leadership.
• ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor credential.
• Lean/Kaizen certification.
• Experience with metal fabrication and welding preferred.
• Experience with ERP and Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA activities across receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Develop inspection standards, sampling plans, and test methods.
• Maintain ISO 9001 QMS and coordinate audits.
• Lead QA engineers, technicians, inspectors, and related activities.
• Drive corrective actions and CAPAs to closure.
• Track defects, costs of quality, and nonconformances.
