Monogram Foods is hiring for a Quality Assist I on 1st shift in Martinsville, VA. The role involves testing and analysis of product and packaging, with responsibilities including sampling for weight, moisture, salometer, pH and documentation.

You will ensure packaging integrity, communicate quality issues with supervisors, perform sanitation checks, and support other tasks as needed in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common QC techniques and procedures
• Intermediate level math and writing skills
• Intermediate level communication skills
• Ability to test and read scales
• Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexible work schedule between Production and Quality
• Ability to obtain HACCP certification
• Ability to care for lab equipment.

Responsabilités

• Gather samples to perform weight, moisture, salometer and ph checks on product
• Complete all quality control paperwork and forward to appropriate recipients
• Check packaging for integrity of seals, dates, vacuum, and proper caddie and case counts
• Communicate with PMO and supervisor on quality issues
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow GMP/HAACP procedures
• Pre-operational sanitation inspections daily
• Perform micro swab procedures
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
