Job summary

Textron Aviation Inc. offers a paid summer internship focused on quality improvements across fabrication, assembly, and delivery. The role provides mentorship, hands-on projects, and exposure to regulatory environments.

You will work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, from late May to early August, onsite. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US for Textron Aviation; visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1/J-1 visa holders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise Quality systems and procedures to ensure documentation is compliant with current practices.
• Conduct Government and FAA audits/investigations and report corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
• Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to support process improvement projects across production and functional areas.
• Conduct process or product audits in production, functional areas, or with external suppliers.
