Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a QA Inspector to join our Fleet Solutions team. You will perform inspections, first article and process checks, and dimensional verification on machined parts to ensure compliance with design specifications.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, precision measurement with hand tools, and the ability to read technical drawings. US citizenship with the ability to obtain DOD clearance is required; a HS diploma is essential.

QA Inspector

Our Chesapeake facility is growing, and we are looking for a QA Inspector to join our Fleet Solutions team!

The QA inspector will be responsible for performing a variety of inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacturing of products. The QA Inspector will be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, as well as a certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Additionally, the QA Inspector will be responsible for accepting, rejecting, and ordering rework of the item.

Location: Chesapeake, VA (on-site)

Salary: $21.50 - $27.00

Your Challenge

• Performs inspections of components, parts, raw materials, and material test reports to ensure compliance to accepted standards.
• Performs first article and process inspection of machined parts and components.
• Perform parts dimensional inspection for compliance to design specifications.

What You Bring

• Must be US Citizen and able to obtain DOD security clearance.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• CMM measurement experience is desired.
• Precision measurement experience using hand measurement tools is required.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical part drawings, schematics, and/or blueprints is highly desired.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or Technical/Trade school accreditation is a plus.
