Job summary

Airbus is seeking Summer 2027 Interns for the Quality Assurance department in Kinston, NC. The 10-12 week program offers mentorship, hands-on experience, and tours of manufacturing facilities. Interns will gain on-the-job experience and build a professional network.

Interns will support problem solving, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects, learn root cause analysis, and develop skills in 5S, metrics, and documentation while collaborating with production teams.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for aerospace, engineering or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality team by supporting problem solving, transformation, lean manufacturing, process/continuous improvement, innovation and six sigma projects.
• Learn root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes at Airbus and assist/participate in improvement efforts.
• Update visual management schemes, metrics, and support analysis and tools to assist in operating manufacturing.
• Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits and FOD levels.
• Assist in compliance topics.
• Other duties as assigned.
