Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc. invites students to join as a Summer Intern - Operations Analyst in Kinston, NC for a 10-12 week program. You will work with a mentor, gain hands-on experience, tour manufacturing facilities, and build a professional network.

Responsibilities include analyzing expenditures, benchmarking processes, and developing cost-reduction strategies to improve procurement and stock management. Onsite work and project-based learning are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university.
• Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
• Interest in aerospace manufacturing and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical expenditures to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies.
• Assess current management processes and benchmark across facilities (ordering, distribution, usage tracking).
• Develop and propose a cost reduction strategy (procurement optimization, waste reduction).
• Create a tracking system to monitor consumption and optimize stock levels.
• Deliver recommendations and implementation guidelines to sustain cost reductions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
