Job summary

Casper is seeking a QA Engineer to own functional and end‑to‑end testing across our systems. The role is hybrid, based in Richmond, VA, with 4 days in the office and collaboration with Product, Engineering, and DevOps.

You will design test plans, perform exploratory testing, validate cross‑system workflows, and contribute to the Playwright/TypeScript automation framework. Strong testing and automation mindset required, with knowledge of Shopify/Salesforce/ERP integrations.

Qualifications

• Design and execute functional and end-to-end test cases across web and back‑end systems to cover happy paths, edge cases, and negatives.
• Own test planning for features and releases with traceable test plans tied to requirements.
• Perform exploratory testing to surface issues beyond scripted cases.
• Validate cross-system workflows across interconnected platforms in SaaS/e‑commerce contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional and end‑to‑end test cases across web and back‑end systems
• Own test planning for features and releases with traceable test plans
• Perform exploratory testing to surface issues beyond scripted cases
• Validate cross-system workflows across interconnected platforms
• Test SaaS workflows in e‑commerce, Shopify, OMS, Salesforce, ERP environments
• Document defects with clarity and reproduce steps
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to ensure coverage
• Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript
• Run and debug Playwright tests to grow automation coverage
• Provide progress updates to QA Manager on risks and improvements
