Job summary

Spring EQ, LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer I to join our QA team. This entry-to-mid level role focuses on manual testing of web and internal applications, with growing exposure to Playwright and TypeScript automation under senior guidance.

You will execute test plans, document defects, and support the QA team to deliver high‑quality software. As the automation practice grows, you’ll help build and maintain automated scripts and assist with data validation and backend verification.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of QA/testing experience or related
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Playwright or similar automation frameworks

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases across web/API/internal apps
• Design and document clear, repeatable test cases
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory testing
• Identify and document defects with steps and screenshots
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to verify fixes
• Contribute to QA status updates in sprint ceremonies
• Learn and contribute to automated tests under mentorship
• Assist with basic data validation and SQL queries
• Support release testing and regression cycles prior to production
