Job summary

Alchemy Cloud Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer to own quality across a configurable platform used by R&D and manufacturing in the chemicals space. This remote, independent-contractor role requires designing and maintaining automated tests, applying AI-assisted testing techniques, and building agentic workflows to surface regressions.

You will collaborate with Eng, DevOps, and Product, review AI-generated results for trust, and ensure test plans cover customer configurations across environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and automated suites.
• Practical experience using AI tools in testing and agentic workflows.
• Strong scripting ability and log/database analysis skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in CI/CD.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Domain background in chemistry, materials science, or manufacturing software.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test coverage for the platform.
• Create agentic testing workflows that explore configurations and surface regressions.
• Define standards for AI-powered testing and evidence required for releases.
• Develop tests and run regression testing across releases with CI/CD.
• Investigate anomalies using logs and database data, and write supporting scripts.
• Collaborate with Eng, DevOps, Product, and Customer Success teams.
