MORTGAGE ADVICE BUREAU LIMITED is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Technology team and strengthen test automation across a modern microservices platform. You will drive automation strategy, improve coverage and support scalable, release-ready software.

In an Agile environment, you will collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and DevOps to embed quality from design through release, balancing complexity with pragmatic delivery and owning automation initiatives.

At MAB, we're looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Technology team and help drive quality across a modern microservices-based platform used within the financial services sector. You'll play a key role in shaping our approach to test automation, improving test coverage and supporting the delivery of robust, scalable and release-ready solutions. Working closely with Developers, Product Owners and DevOps Engineers, you'll help embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and ensure our systems continue to perform at their best. About the role As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving quality across our technology platforms, with a particular focus on automation and quality engineering. Working within a cross-functional Agile squad, you'll lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks, support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software. You'll work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Product and DevOps, helping to ensure quality is considered from the earliest stages of development through to release. What you'll be doing

• Leading automation across your delivery stream, defining and improving test frameworks.
• Building and maintaining automated test suites covering API, integration and UI testing.
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable and repeatable deployments.
• Partnering with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve test effectiveness and encourage a shift-left approach to quality.
• Analysing, investigating and clearly communicating defects, risks and testing outcomes.
• Carrying out targeted manual testing for complex scenarios where required.
• Using SQL to support data validation, troubleshooting and end-to-end testing activities.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the delivery team to ensure quality is embedded throughout

• Strong experience testing web-based applications.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle and deployment of commercial web applications.
• Knowledge of UI automation tools such as Selenium.
• Experience of API testing using Swagger.
• Experience using software tools to plan, manage and track testing activities.
• Previous experience working within an Agile environment.
• A technical mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
• Experience working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant testing qualifications would be advantageous.
• Permanent, Fixed Term Contract (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday)
