Job summary

CFA Institute is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to own end-to-end quality across multiple platform portfolios and partner with senior engineering and product leadership to embed quality at scale. You will build AI-driven QE capabilities, champion the Playwright/TypeScript automation framework, and lead a team of QE managers and engineers to drive quality metrics and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years in quality engineering, with 6+ years in people leadership, including managing managers.
• Proven track record mentoring senior engineers, tech leads, and managers into leadership.
• Hands-on depth to read a Playwright test and review architectures.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for quality across multiple portfolios including automation, performance, accessibility, and AI quality testing.
• Architect standards and frameworks to scale QE practices beyond portfolios; drive test architecture and AI quality governance.
• Define QE process standards: planning, defect triage, SLAs, entry/exit criteria, release readiness and reporting.
• Lead QE managers, engineers, tech leads, and contractors; partner on hiring and career development.
