Job summary

Qualia, based in Austin, TX, is hiring a Quality Engineer to join our AI-powered real estate technology team. You will own test automation, build quality infrastructure, and drive large-scale quality initiatives across the engineering organization to ship reliable AI-driven products.

You'll lead the migration from Cypress to Playwright, implement performance testing, and mentor engineers while applying AI-assisted testing ideas in a data-rich ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years building and maintaining test automation for complex software systems.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale quality initiatives.
• Experience triaging and debugging test failures and root cause analysis.
• Experience integrating AI into quality workflows.
• Mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale test automation, quality infrastructure, and performance tests.
• Design and implement core automation frameworks ( Cypress to Playwright ) and performance testing.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and triage failures across product/test/environment.
• Tackle challenging quality problems with autonomy and impact.
