Job summary

Qualia is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer in Austin, TX with the option for remote work. You will lead test automation, quality infrastructure, and performance testing for our AI-driven real estate platform.

You will design core automation frameworks, migrate from Cypress to Playwright, define RCA processes, mentor engineers, and drive quality initiatives across teams, while enjoying a flexible benefits package and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

8–10+ years of experience building and scaling test automation for complex software.
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript production-grade automation skills.
Proven track record leading large-scale, cross-functional quality initiatives.
Root-cause complex, cross-functional failures and establish triage processes.
Hands-on AI-in-quality experience from test generation to flaky-test triage.
Significant experience mentoring engineers and driving quality strategy.
Experience across diverse engineering environments; open to Austin or remote US.

Responsibilities

Build and scale our test automation, quality infrastructure, and performance testing systems.
Lead design and implementation of core automation frameworks including migration from Cypress to Playwright.
Define RCA and failure triage across teams and lead RCA on difficult failures.
Tackle challenging quality problems from automation architecture to AI-assisted testing.
Operate with autonomy to identify and pursue impactful work.
