Job summary

Pecan Valley Mh-mr Region seeks a Quality Assurance Data Specialist to review, analyze, and present data for compliance and performance improvement. The role involves data corrections, incident reporting, and preparing data for board reports within a behavioral health context.

The position supports audits and surveys, coordinates QI activities, and ensures adherence to HIPAA and related regulations. A Bachelor's in human services with relevant credits and a Texas driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with 30 hours of credits in human services and eligible to be certified as a qualified mental health professional.
• Experience: Records-auditing activities in a health care industry is preferred.
• A valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record are required with a copy of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, analyzing, compiling, and presenting data; creating and managing data analysis tools and reporting trends.
• Completes data corrections and incident reporting; compiles data on client deaths, MCO data, bed days, etc.
• Pulling data to assist in the creation of Board reports and supporting audits, surveys, and external reviews; coordinate corrective action and performance improvement activities.
• Assists in executing the agency’s Quality Management plans for behavioral health and developmental disabilities programs; supports QA activities of staff and providers.
