Job summary

Colorado Department of Revenue in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst I to support QA testing and business process reviews within the Lottery BAMO team. The role requires documenting requirements, managing test cases, and coordinating with Game Vendors and IT to ensure system integrity.

Responsibilities include developing test cases, validating system behavior against specifications, and supporting scheduling with JIRA tickets.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in business operations, accounting, computer science, project coordination, marketing, customer service, and/or lottery.
• OR Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Project Management, and/or Marketing or as determined by the Department AND 2 years of experience in business operations, accounting, computer science, project coordination, marketing, customer service, and/or lottery.
• Substitutions: Additional appropriate education in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Project Management, and/or Marketing or as determined by the Department will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance (QA) Testing: learn to develop and follow test cases for UAT of internal and external software programs, determine pass/fail outcomes, and report results to senior analysts.
• Business Process Review: participate in SRS reviews and manage test cases for software installations; escalate defects for review.
• Plan future testing needs and create/manage test JIRA tickets to support scheduling scenarios.
• Develop working knowledge of lottery operations and collaborate with internal units for alignment and support.
