Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a QA Automation Test Engineer to join our client’s team in Reading, PA. This contract-to-hire role focuses on building automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers for a SaaS product.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in QA automation or SDET roles, proficiency with Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, and experience embedding tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation, software quality engineering, or SDET roles within SaaS or platform environments.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Ensure comprehensive testing coverage for new features and system updates.
• Improve automation strategies to enhance testing speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to define acceptance criteria and quality standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives to align on quality objectives.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Validate system performance, stability, and uptime to meet SaaS standards.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and partner with engineering to implement solutions.
• Create and manage test data to support automated and performance testing.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in QA processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation, maintaining clear documentation.

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a QA Automation Test Engineer to join our client’s team in Reading, PA. This is a contract-to-hire position.

SALARY

Up to $135,000/year + 3-5% bonus (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation, software quality engineering, or SDET roles within digital, SaaS, or platform-based environments (8+ years total QA experience preferred)
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python)
• Experience with modern test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, or similar)
• Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
