Job summary

Troxis is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing QA team in Denver. You will design scalable automation frameworks for web apps and APIs, implement Playwright-based tests, and integrate QA into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

You will perform functional and API tests, collaborate with DevOps and product teams, and leverage AI tools to boost testing efficiency and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java-based automation.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipeline integration and automation execution.
• Experience working with Jira and Qmetry for test management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with API automation and testing tools.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with database validation and SQL queries.
• Understanding of performance testing concepts is a plus.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and other modern automation tools.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment validation and release quality.
• Utilize AI-powered tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro to improve testing efficiency and workflows.
• Work closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Manage and track test cases, defects, and QA processes using Jira and Qmetry.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar platforms.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices.
