Job summary

Aegistech is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineering consultant in Northern NJ. The role is hybrid with onsite 3 days per week. Candidates must have US work authorization and be a W-2 employee; no third parties.

The position requires extensive automation, API testing, performance testing, cloud experience, and strong test planning capabilities. Responsibilities include creating end-to-end test plans, developing test scripts, managing defects, and participating in Agile/Scrum lifecycle

Qualifications

• 9+ years in software development.
• 3+ years automating tests with Selenium WebDriver and C#.
• 3+ years testing RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years performance testing with JMeter.
• 2+ years in AWS cloud environments.
• 2+ years working with Postgres/MySQL/Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• 2+ years coding in Python and C#.
• Familiar with CI and Agile/Scrum.
• End-to-end test planning, test specs, and templates.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts; report results.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end test plans and templates.
• Create and document test specifications and cases.
• Design and execute automated tests; summarize results.
• Lead defect tracking and test-result reporting.
• Review requirements and identify test data needs.
• Participate in system and regression testing.
• Prioritize defects from detection to resolution.

Our client in Northern NJ is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineering consultant. This position is hybrid, onsite 3 days a week in Northern NJ. Local Candidates only/NO RELOCATION.

Job Description:

• 9+ years of proven experience in the software development industry, participating in a team environment
• 3+ years of experience in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver with C#.
• 3+ years of proven experience in testing web services such as RESTful API.
• 3+ years of proven experience in performance testing using tools such as Apache JMeter.
• 2+ years of working in a cloud-based development and production environment such as AWS.
• 2+ years of working experience with Databases such as Postgres, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and OpenSearch.
• 2+ years of working Experience with programming languages Python and C#.
• Familiarity with working in a Continuous Integration atmosphere.
• Familiarity with Agile [Scrum]
• Responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan, test specification, and test case templates.
• Develop and document test plans and test specifications.
• Develop and execute test scripts using automated testing tools; document and summarize results.
• Facilitate the defect tracking and test result summary processes through reporting.
• Review requirements documented as Functional Specifications, User Stories or Change Requests.
• Identify test data and prepare test cases for automation.
• Participate in system and regression testing.
• Manage and prioritize defects from detection through to resolution.
• Experience in participating in Defect Triage meetings.
• Must have test case design experience and knowledge of test case design techniques.
