Job summary

The NYC Department of Social Services is seeking an IT Project Specialist to serve as Tester/Analyst within ITS. You will conduct software quality assurance testing across multiple SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid, applying automation, performance and load testing to ensure system quality for HRA, DSS and DHS applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field with four years of full-time experience.
Associate degree with six years of full-time experience in the related area.
Bachelor's degree with eight years of experience or equivalent.
Equivalent education and/or experience to the above.

Responsibilities

Conduct software quality assurance testing across SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
Provide test coverage for HRA, DSS, and DHS applications (Web and mobile).
Develop test approaches with product managers, developers and business analysts.
Create robust automation and performance test cases and test plans.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and test effort estimation.
