Job summary

HRA/DEPT OF SOCIAL SERVICES is seeking an IT Project Specialist to function as Tester/Analyst in NYC. The role focuses on software quality assurance testing, including automation, performance, and load testing across multiple SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and Business Analysts to shape testing strategies for digital releases. This position supports HRA, DSS and DHS applications, including web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in a computer science, engineering, HCI, interactive media, data visualization, communication or related field with four years of related full-time experience.
• Experience in QA/testing in technology development environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct software quality assurance testing focusing on automation and performance testing across SDLC methodologies.
• Provide test coverage for HRA/DSS/DHS programs including web and mobile frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and Analysts to define testing strategies per release.
• Develop robust automation and performance test cases and plans.
• Create accurate testing time estimates and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
