Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a QA test automation engineer to design and implement automated test frameworks using Playwright, Xray, and AI-enabled tools. You will drive test coverage across web applications and collaborate with developers and product teams.

The role emphasizes analyzing results, identifying root causes, and contributing to continuous improvement within Agile, CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

2+ years in QA test automation.
Test code generation in Java, TypeScript, or a similar language.
1+ years leveraging AI/ML-powered tools in a professional QA or software development context.
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Xray, or Zephyr.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with database testing, SQL, and Playwright (nice to have).
1+ years implementing agentic AI solutions in business environments, with exposure to human-in-the-loop patterns (nice to have).
Familiarity with web application testing and accessibility standards (nice to have).
Experience mentoring or training QA team members (nice to have).

Responsibilities

Design and implement automated test frameworks using modern tools, including Playwright, Xray, and Claude.
Execute QA tasks within AI agentic workflows built by product engineers.
Apply approved tooling to automate and accelerate testing activities.
Design comprehensive test plans and scenarios based on software requirements and design specifications.
Analyze test results, identify patterns and root causes, and report defects using JIRA and Xray.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
Contribute to ongoing process improvements.
