Job summary

KARL STORZ SE & Co. KG in Goleta, CA is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer in Test to help ensure quality and reliability of medical software. You will develop automated tests, support DevOps pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes.

Qualifications include a BS in CS/CE or related field and 0-2 years of software testing experience. Familiarity with C++, C#, .NET, Python, and RESTful APIs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of software development, testing, or related experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of object‑oriented programming concepts and languages such as C++, C#, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using existing KARL STORZ automation frameworks.
• Create acceptance, integration, and regression tests that support software releases and DevOps pipelines.
• Partner with Agile development teams to define and validate new software features.
• Assist in developing test harnesses, mocks, and supporting automation tools under senior guidance.
• Investigate, document, and help resolve software defects identified during testing.
