Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and user experience of front-end apps across web and mobile platforms. The role blends manual testing with expanding test automation and requires collaboration with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience, is skilled in JavaScript, and is eager to grow automation in a CI/CD environment.

Qualifications

Experience testing web and mobile applications, including accessibility validation.
Hands-on experience with Playwright, WebDriverIO, Sauce Labs or similar cloud testing platforms.
Working knowledge of JavaScript, Git/GitHub, and automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and exploration testing of web and mobile applications across platforms, devices, and browsers.
Review acceptance criteria and translate requirements into test cases and scenarios; participate in test planning and release validation.
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites to improve quality and efficiency.
Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps; collaborate with developers and product owners to resolve issues.
Drive continuous improvement of test processes and automation coverage.
