Job summary

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Ratings Technology QA team in a hybrid role based in NYC (Water Street 55) or Princeton, NJ. You will design and implement automated tests across Web/Windows/API platforms, collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to ensure high quality and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in software testing, strong Python/Java skills, API testing experience, and proficiency with Selenium, SQL, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software testing or development
• Experience in programming using Python/Java
• Experience in automated tests using Selenium or Appium across UI/Service/Data layers
• Experience with SOAP and REST services
• Experience with SQL/PL-SQL and RDBMS
• Experience in data quality testing and Test Data Management
• Experience in CI/CD/DevOps environments
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to varied audiences
• Bachelor's or higher qualification in CS/IS preferred

Responsibilities

• Create tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testing
• Design and develop test plans and test cases based on specifications
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver functionality on time and with required quality
• Act as test lead and coordinate testing staff
• Provide guidance and review test artifacts and results
• Focus on Web, API, and Database testing
• Participate in Agile project activities and reviews
• Engage in test automation and performance strategy discussions
• Capture QA data and metrics to inform decisions
• Estimate and manage testing risks and delivery quality
