Job summary

New York Life is seeking a detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to lead automation, AI-enabled QA, and manual testing efforts. You will design and execute test cases, build automation frameworks, and leverage AI tools to enhance coverage and defect detection.

The role focuses on web, API, and backend testing within a hybrid work arrangement, collaborating with TDAV teams to deliver quality software that supports policy owners, agents, advisors and employees.

Qualifications

Experience in manual and automation testing across web, API, and backend.
Strong understanding of STLC/SDLC and QA methodologies.
Familiarity with AI-assisted testing concepts and AI tools.
Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA and PractiTest.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
Execute automated regression suites and analyze test execution results.
Support CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
Improve automation framework stability and reusability.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Scrum teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
