Job Summary (QA Automation Engineer – Java, Cucumber, Node.JS, Jest)

Location : Durham NC (Remote)

• Design and develop automated test scripts using Node.js and Jest frameworks.
• Apply advanced JavaScript concepts (promises, async/await, asynchronous patterns) in test automation.
• Translate business requirements into robust, maintainable automated test cases.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and automate regression test scenarios.
• Optimize database interactions within automated tests, including database call optimization and pooling.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous, reliable test execution.
• Ensure test data security and integrity, especially within financial services domain (avoid using real data such as names/SSN).
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, with optional development in Java using Cucumber.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold software quality and support rapid delivery cycles.
• Leverage experience in financial services to address security, transaction integrity, and domain-specific testing needs.
• Targeting senior candidates with 12+ years of QA automation experience, especially in financial services.
