New York Power Authority is seeking a Test Engineer to advance our digital platforms. You will validate software applications, design and execute manual and automated tests, and build automation with Tosca while leveraging AI-driven testing tools.

Responsibilities include creating test plans, scripts, and matrices; performing end-to-end testing, API/UX validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Minimum of 6 years IT/software development experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Testing for IT projects including cloud computing and data integration.

Responsabilités

Create Functional test plans.
Create test scripts and test plans.
Collaborate in Technical Requirements document.
Create Requirements Traceability Matrix.
Create test strategies and test procedures.
Perform script-based automated testing and functional analysis (UFT, Coded-UI, API testing).
Document test execution results and report status.
Triage and troubleshoot production issues as part of the engineering team.
Review end-user quality metrics such as frontend and API error rates.
Mentor and coach other test engineers.
Develop testing frameworks, standards, governance and procedures.
