Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a QA Assistant Manager for its Maryland food manufacturing plants in Belcamp. This onsite role leads QC technicians across two shifts, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains audit-ready records while coordinating with R&D and Production.

You will report to the FSQA Manager and support audits and CAPA investigations, driving continuous improvement. Weekend coverage is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Environmental Science or related field.
• 3–5+ years in quality control/assurance in a food manufacturing setting.
• 1–2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong experience with regulatory compliance and documentation (USDA/FDA, HACCP, GMPs).
• Hands-on manufacturing plant experience in monitoring and production oversight.
• Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week with flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and schedule QC technicians across 1st and 2nd shifts, including weekends.
• Build relationships with department leaders and plant staff.
• Provide training on food safety, GMPs and documentation practices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness of records.
