Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a QA Assistant Manager for its Arizona food manufacturing plants. This onsite role leads QC technicians, maintains audit-ready records, and serves as the link between Quality, R&D, and Production. The position requires flexibility for 1st/2nd shifts and weekend hours.

You will report to the FSQA Manager and have a clear path to higher Quality leadership. Prior supervisory experience and strong regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Environmental Science or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5+ years in quality control/assurance in regulated manufacturing.
• 1–2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience, ready for assistant manager role.
• Experience with USDA/FDA rules, HACCP, GMPs and audit-ready records.

Responsibilities

• Lead and schedule QC technicians across 1st and 2nd shifts, including weekend hours as needed.
• Build strong relationships with department leaders and plant employees on all shifts.
• Provide regular training on food safety, GMPs, documentation practices and QA tasks.
• Review and maintain daily quality and food safety records for accuracy.
• Support CAPA and root-cause investigations; assist audits and regulatory readiness.
