Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Specialist to test financial application changes supporting the One Washington and Workday transition. You will design meaningful tests, find defects, and work with developers in an Agile environment to ensure quality.

Your first 90 days focus on learning applications and testing tools, developing test cases, and collaborating to resolve defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with four years IT experience involving software testing
• Associate degree in information technology or related field with six years IT testing experience
• Eight years IT experience performing functional software testing
• Three years of hands-on testing experience with mid- to large-scale enterprise applications across the software testing life cycle

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute testing for financial applications.
• Review requirements and develop test plans, cases, and data.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and interface testing.
• Validate financial data and application results.
• Document, track, and retest defects.
• Clarify requirements and resolve issues with developers and analysts.
• Support user acceptance testing and production-readiness reviews.
• Test changes related to One Washington and Workday.
• Report testing results, risks, and recommendations.
